Meet Laura

Laura WileyHello. My name is Laura Wiley and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Bangor, Maine. I am also referred to as a
counselor, therapist, and/or psychotherapist.

I earned my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts. I have been in the field since 1992 and working full time as a psychotherapist since 1998. I enjoy doing therapy and watching people grow and become.

I combine deep listening with a gentle-directional clinical approach that allows clients to feel safe to open up and allow their desired changes to come forth. This ability arises from a depth of knowledge, understanding, and experience that only years of practice can provide.

I am also certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).  I received my training through the Integrated Listening learning platform where by Dr. Stephen Porges and Dr. Keri Heilman were just two of the teachers in the training.

Through nearly 30 years of practice, I am able to help people struggling with a broad range of problems such as: Depression, Anxiety, Mood Swings, Relationship Struggles, Panic Attacks, PTSD, ADD/ADHD, Anger, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Chronic Pain, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Substance Use.
